Roberto Buratto

Roberto Buratto is an experienced professional in the field of analytical method development, currently serving as Manager of Testing Method Development at Philip Morris International since May 2016. In this role, Roberto leads worldwide testing activities to provide analytical solutions for smoke-free products, overseeing the translation of method development requests into high-quality analytical methods. Previous positions include Team Lead for Aerosol Chemistry ISO, where Roberto supervised laboratory technicians and ensured compliance with safety and quality standards, and Lead for Method Transfer, focusing on analytical method deployment strategies. Prior to joining Philip Morris International, Roberto worked as a Research Assistant and Lecturer at EPFL, optimizing NMR methods for ligand screening. Roberto holds a Ph.D. in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from EPFL and has significant experience in establishing laboratory capabilities aligned with business needs.
