Christopher Garay

Christopher Garay has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Christopher began their career as a Teaching Fellow at Citizen Schools in 2006 and later served as a Program Leader at Ivy Hill Elementary School in 2007. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Campus Director at Citizen Schools. In 2009, they joined New Jersey After 3 as a Program Officer and later became an AmeriCorps Program Manager. In 2011, Christopher founded Living Wage Consulting, where they worked as a Founder and Consultant until 2013. In 2009, they also worked as a Private Tutor, specifically focusing on ELA and Writing. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at BELL foundation, starting as a Program Manager and later serving as the Acting Director of Program Operations. Their most recent role is Director of School Operations at Philip's Academy Charter School, which they have held since 2016.

Christopher Garay earned their Bachelor's degree in English and Social Philosophy from the State University of New York College at Cortland. Christopher attended this college from 2001 to 2005. Later, Christopher pursued their Master's degree in Education from Lesley University and graduated in the years 2006 to 2009.
