Douglas Nielsen

Douglas Nielsen is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in accounting and finance management. Currently serving as the Finance and Accounting Manager for Philips since 2007, Douglas oversees financial reporting in Finland and Sweden, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. Prior roles at Philips include Chief Accountant for the Country Organization in Sweden, where Douglas prepared Statutory Accounts and managed Income Tax and VAT reporting. Douglas began career progression as an Accounting Associate in the Domestic Appliances and Business Communications division and also gained experience in customer service and logistics. Earlier experience includes a role as a Customer Service Representative at Ansett International Freight. Douglas holds a Bachelor's degree from The University of Auckland and has pursued additional studies at FEI Företagsekonomiska Institutet and The University of Waikato.
