Gerbrand Mesu

Gerbrand Mesu is a highly experienced Senior Scientist at Phillips 66, a position held since August 2017. Prior to this, Gerbrand served as the Research and Development Manager for Heavy Oil Upgrading Applied Product Research at Albemarle Corporation from August 2011 to March 2017, where leadership was demonstrated over a team focused on the development of FCC catalysts and additives. In earlier roles at Albemarle, Gerbrand was the Group Head for FCC Catalyst Applications, managing operations in catalyst deactivation and testing labs, and held several sectional head positions overseeing application research and analytical labs. Gerbrand's academic foundation includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry obtained from Utrecht University between 2001 and 2005.
