Sonya Reed

Sonya Reed is currently the SVP of HR, Communications & Public Affairs at Phillips 66. Sonya has over fifteen years of experience in human resources and has held leadership positions at both General Cable and Zurich Insurance Company Ltd.

Reed began their career at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd in 2003, where they eventually became the VP of Human Resources for Latin America. In this role, they were responsible for leading the HR function for Zurich in Latin America and for developing and implementing the HR strategy across the region.

In 2011, Reed left Zurich Insurance Company Ltd to join General Cable as their Chief Human Resource Officer. In this role, they were responsible for the primary relationship between local HR and the senior most leaders of the Customer Services team. Sonya also contributed to the development of the North America HR strategy and worked closely with business leadership to ensure the achievement of business goals.

Reed has been with Phillips 66 since 2015, where they currently serve as the SVP of HR, Communications & Public Affairs.

Sonya Reed has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University and a BS in Economics from the University of Cambridge. Sonya also has a Certificate of International Studies in Spanish language from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

They are on a team with David Erfert - SVP, Chief Transformation Officer, Richard G. Harbison - SVP, Refining, and Vanessa Allen Sutherland - EVP, General Counsel. Sonya Reed reports to Mark Lashier, President & CEO.
