Gil Kemp

Gil Kemp possesses extensive experience in both educational philanthropy and leadership on various boards. Presently, Kemp serves as a co-sponsor for SEEDS, a program focused on educational philanthropy, and holds board positions at multiple institutions including Phillips Exeter Academy, UCF Burnett Honors College, The American University of Paris, and the East Meets West Foundation. Previously, Kemp had a long tenure at Home Decorators Collection and Home Depot Direct, where the role of president was held for many years. Education was obtained at Harvard Business School (MBA) and Swarthmore College (BA in Sociology), with early schooling at Phillips Exeter Academy. Additionally, Kemp contributed to higher education governance as a member of the board emeritus at Occidental College and as a member and past chair of the Board of Managers at Swarthmore College.
