Andrew Boone

Andrew Boone has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and research fields. Andrew has served as a Senior Research Associate at Phio Pharmaceuticals Corp since August 2021. Previously, they worked at Corning Life Sciences - Discovery Labware as a Scientist 2, where they performed non-clinical ADME testing studies and research studies for pharmaceutical companies. Andrew'sresponsibilities also included conducting GLP, non-GLP studies, and R&D level studies. Prior to that, Andrew served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Rotello Group - UMass Amherst. In this role, they contributed to the research and development of essential oil nano-capsules for bacterial biofilm treatment. Andrew also conducted synthesis of organic polymers and other compounds, and performed instrument characterization using dynamic light scattering.

Andrew Boone attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2013 to 2017. Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology during that time. Additionally, they pursued a Minor in Psychology and Brain Studies, completing it alongside their major.
