Dawn Benson

Dawn Benson is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in healthcare and professional liability law. Since January 2009, Dawn has served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Phoebe Putney Health System, Inc., a role assumed on August 1, 2015. Prior to this, Dawn was a partner at Watson Spence LLP from 1982 to 2009, specializing in litigation with a focus on professional liability, employment law, agribusiness, and business litigation. Additionally, Dawn contributed to academia as an instructor in the Paralegal Program at Darton State College from 1984 to 1985. Dawn holds a Doctor of Law (JD) with High Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law (1979-1981) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating from the Honors Program (1977-1979).
