Amir Nejadmalayeri

Amir Nejadmalayeri is the founder and CEO of Phoelex, a company they started in 2017. Prior to that, they worked as an entrepreneur at Entrepreneur First from 2016 to 2017. Amir also worked at Samsung Electronics as a Principal Engineer from April 2012 to March 2015. Earlier in their career, they worked as a researcher at MIT from October 2007 to March 2012.

Amir Nejadmalayeri holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Photonics from the University of Toronto. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on IC Design at the University of Waterloo. Additionally, they spent some time as an exchange student at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, studying Engineering Physics/Applied Physics.
