Mike Meekins has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Mike is currently serving as the Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Pharmacy Operations at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center from 2015 to 2020. Before that, they held various roles at Mayo Clinic, including Regional Manager and Regional Supervisor of Pharmacy Operations, as well as Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist and Clinical Surgery Pharmacist. Mike started their career as a Pharmacy Intern at Children's Hospital & Medical Center - Omaha.
Mike Meekins completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry at the University of South Dakota in 2005. Mike then pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree at Creighton University, which they completed in 2009. Following this, they undertook a PGY-1 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, graduating in 2010. Finally, Mike obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of South Dakota in 2016.
