Chris Williams, P.E. has a diverse work experience in both the private and public sector. Starting in 1999, they worked for the US Navy in various roles including Deck Division Officer and Auxiliaries and Electrical Officer. From 2009 to 2018, they continued their career in the US Navy where they served as a Ship Engineering Inspector and held positions such as Budgeting and Finance Officer and LHD/LPD/LSD Type Desk Manager. In 2018, they transitioned to Phoenix International Holdings, Inc. where they served as the General Manager and later as the Vice President of Manned Operations. Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated their leadership skills by overseeing maintenance and modernization efforts for various vessels, leading engineering inspections, and managing advisory efforts in Saudi Arabia.

Chris Williams, P.E. has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Naval Architecture from the United States Naval Academy, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. Chris then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, completing it from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Chris has received several certifications, including being a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation since December 2017. Chris is also certified as a Surface Supplied Air Diving Supervisor and a Surface Supplied Air Diver by the Association of Diving Contractors International, obtained in March 2020 and November 2016, respectively. Chris also holds additional certifications as a Diving Officer, Docking Officer, Engineering Duty Officer, and Surface Warfare Officer from their time in the US Navy.
