Vong Sik Kong

Vong Sik Kong has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and network engineering. Vong Sik started their career as a Researcher at kocca in 2004 and then worked as a Server side Programmer at Ndoors Interactive, Inc from 2007 to 2008. Vong Sik then joined Nexon as a Programmer from 2008 to 2010.

Vong Sik Kong's notable experience comes from their role as Lead Server Programmer at Neowiz Bless, where they worked from 2010 to 2016. During this time, they were responsible for improving performance and memory usage in a AAA scale MMORPG project. Vong Sik implemented various architectural features such as IOCP architecture, async tasks queue, thread local allocator, Behaviour Tree, and Event driven process.

After their role at Neowiz Bless, Vong Sik Kong worked at IUGO Mobile Entertainment as a Senior Network Engineer from 2016 to 2018. Vong Sik then joined EA Sports as a software engineer III from 2018 to 2021. Currently, they are working as a Senior software engineer at Phoenix Labs, starting in October 2021.

Vong Sik Kong holds a Master's degree in Game Design from Sangmyung University, which was obtained from 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Konkuk University between 1998 and 2002. In addition to their academic qualifications, Vong Sik Kong has obtained several certifications including Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) from The Linux Foundation in October 2021 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2021. It's worth mentioning that Vong Sik Kong had also acquired the Project Management Professional certification, although it expired in 2009.
