Sonika Chandra

Sonika Chandra is the current Vice President of Business Development at PhonePe. Sonika has also previously held the position of Vice President, Head of Product, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development at Western Union. There, they were responsible for driving digital transformation through new partnerships and products. Sonika also productized the cross border money platform for partners such as banks, telcos, and fintechs.

In their previous role at Visa, Sonika Chandra served as a Senior Business Leader for Mobile Products & Partnerships. In this role, they were responsible for launching and managing mobile products and services for Visa’s clients.

Sonika Chandra began their career as a Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting, where they worked with clients in the technology, media, and telecommunications industries.

Sonika Chandra has an MBA in Business Administration and Management from The Wharton School as well as a Masters in Advertising and Marketing from Mudra Institue of Communication (MICA).

Sonika Chandra reports to Sameer Nigam, CEO. Sonika Chandra works with Rahul Chari - Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Manmeet Sandhu - Chief People Officer, and Adarsh Nahata - VP, Finance.
