Tanmay Varun

Tanmay Varun is a Senior Software Engineer at PhonePe since May 2019, specializing in the Merchant Payments domain and collaborating with top retail chains in India to deliver sophisticated integrated payment solutions. Tanmay owns multiple Tier 1 services related to Merchant Payments and has played a key role in planning, designing, and executing significant projects for Merchant tech initiatives. Prior to PhonePe, Tanmay worked as a Software Engineer at Amazon from February 2017 to April 2019, where domain experience was gained in building a low latency advertising engine and processing the entire Amazon retail catalog for quality improvements using various AWS tools. Tanmay's career started at NVIDIA, where from July 2014 to July 2016, Tanmay focused on kernel stability and Android framework stability for the Nvidia SHIELD tablet. Tanmay holds both a Bachelor of Technology and a Master of Technology in Computer Science and Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
