Andrey G. Guryev

Deputy Chairman at PhosAgro

Andrey Guryev Sr. has been the Deputy Chairman of PhoAgro's Board of Directors since June 2013. He is also the Vice-President of the Russian Chemists Union, Chairman of the non-profit organization for the Education, Health and Spirituality for Russia’s Children (DROZD), International Master of Sports in judo, honored coach of Russia.

Prior to taking his current post at PhosAgro, Mr. Guryev was a Member of the Federation Council from the executive branch of the Murmansk oblast government from 2011 to 2013. Between 1995 and 2000, Mr. Guryev was the Head of the Mining and Chemical Products Department, First Deputy CEO of ROSPROM; he then headed the Y. V. Samoilov Research Institute for Fertilizers and Insectofungicides (NIUIF). He was the Deputy Director of Menatep Group from 1990 to 1995.

In 1987 to 1990, Andrey Guryev Sr. served as the Committee Secretary of the Frunsensky District Komsomol (Moscow). He was a Judo instructor and Committee Secretary at the Mosgorsovet’s Dinamo Komsomol organisation from 1978 to 1987.

Andrey G. Guryev has a degree in economics and management of mining and exploration enterprises from the G. V. Plekhanov Saint-Petersburg Mining University. He graduated from the Central State Institute for Physical Education with a degree in physical education and sport.

Mr. Guryev was born in 1960.

He was awarded the medal of the Order for Services to the Fatherland, IV degree, the Order of Honor, the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Certificate of Merit of the President of the Russian Federation, the Certificate of Merit of the Council of the Federation of the Russian Federation, the Orders of the Russian Orthodox Church and the "Miner's glory" badges of all three degrees.

He has also received Acknowledgment of the Government of the Russian Federation.

He is an honorary citizen of the cities of Kirovsk and Cherepovets.
