Brian Budak

Brian Budak has a diverse work experience in the field of visual effects and post-production. Brian is currently the Head of 2D at Phosphene since October 2022. Previously, they worked as a Senior Compositor at Industrial Light & Magic from February to October 2022. Brian also served as a Freelance Senior Nuke Compositor and Comp Supervisor at Fairshake LLC from July 2017 to October 2022. Brian was a Compositing Supervisor at PowerHouse VFX from February 2021 to January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Compositing Supervisor/Lead Compositor at ZERO VFX from July 2017 to February 2021. Brian was also a Lead Compositor at FuseFX from August 2016 to July 2017, where they also freelanced as a Nuke Compositor from October 2015 to July 2016. Brian started their career as a Video Editor/Visual Effects Artist at Freelance from January 2015 to July 2016. Brian had freelance roles as a Video Editor at VICE Media, LLC in August 2015 and as a Motion Designer at TANDEM PICTURES from April to May 2015. Prior to that, Brian worked at The Station from January 2010 to January 2015 as an Editor, where they managed post-production workflows and collaborated with clients.

Brian Budak earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Film/Video from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where they attended from 2004 to 2008.
