Matthew Day is a Nanofabrication Engineer at Photonic Inc. since July 2023, specializing in the development of integrated photonic devices for quantum technologies. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate at the Institute for Quantum Computing from October 2018 to July 2023, leading advances in visible wavelength integrated photonic external cavity diode lasers and managing the design of an open-access trapped ion quantum information processor. Matthew also held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and a PhD Student at respected institutions, including the University of Bristol and the National Physical Laboratory, focusing on quantum engineering and metrology. With a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Southampton, Matthew brings significant expertise in quantum technologies and tutoring outreach.
