ChangGui Xu

ChangGui Xu has over 20 years of experience in R&D and has worked for several organizations. ChangGui started their career in 1999 as a Research Assistant at Tsinghua University. In 2006, they joined Case Western Reserve University as a PhD Candidate, where they investigated clinical applications of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) in gastroenterology, urology and cardiology. In 2011, they joined St. Jude Medical as a Principal R&D engineer and Senior R&D engineer. During this time, they lead the development of a catheter for clinical scenarios and initiated projects to adopt latest technologies. In 2016, they joined PhotoniCare, Inc. as the Director of R&D, where they led the FDA submission and obtained FDA clearance for a Class II, first-in-industry complex imaging device. ChangGui also roadmapped concern development, design verification and validation, and managed a development team.

ChangGui Xu obtained a Bachelor of Science from Tsinghua University, followed by a Master of Science from the same institution. ChangGui then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
