Christopher Seshadri

Founder & CEO at PhotoSesh

Chris was born in Toronto, Canada. He moved to the NYC area in 1988 when his mother got an opportunity to work as a secretary in the United Nations legal division. His family came here with nothing and lived in a car for a few weeks until his mother's first paycheck cleared. As a child, Chris had a passion for data and numbers. When he turned 19 years old he began a career on Wall Street helping high-net-worth individuals and institutions identify opportunities in high-yield debt securities. Transacting in this space meant touching all aspects of the business including leadership, sales, and marketing for a growing clientele.

Chris helped build and train teams to research market data and better execute trading strategies properly analyzing risk vs reward. His wealth management career expanded to corporate finance helping organizations find ways to save expenses. Prior to PhotoSesh, he was named in New York Magazine for the NYC Five Star Wealth Manager Award 3 years in a row for high client satisfaction and retention among industry peers (2014, 2015, and 2016).

Chris has an eye for streamlining and automating operations to increase efficiency. He's seen various aspects of what it takes to take a business from startup to exit. Has been deep inside the market making trading pits during both crisis and booms. He's transacted for various family offices and hedge funds while also advising small to medium-sized businesses. His experience involving private equity has granted him lead roles negotiating partnerships in Fortune Global 100 board rooms. Chris's humble beginnings highlight working for one of the earliest fintech startups all the way through exit via acquisition. Shortly after, he was recruited and hired by the flagship office at one of the top financial firms in the world. This experience gave him great knowledge and perspective of both sides of the spectrum. Especially where operations can be most effective and where they can be most wasteful.

With this experience along with a lean and mean philosophy, he has helped build multiple companies bootstrapped from the ground up. His exposure across multiple facets in business have armed him with the combination of relentless stubbornness and flexibility needed to build something special. And to know when to be flexible and when to be stubborn was key to his success. Chris brings his philosophies and experience to lead a strong tech team here at PhotoSesh, a marketplace of photographers which is now America's easiest and fastest way to book a photographer anywhere in the country.
