Elizabeth Carpenter

Elizabeth Carpenter has a diverse work experience with a focus on healthcare policy and research. Elizabeth is currently the Executive Vice President of Policy and Research at PhRMA since September 2023. Before that, they were a Founding Member at Chief starting from March 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at Avalere Health, including President from June 2022 to September 2023, Head of Advisory Services from September 2019 to June 2022, Senior Vice President from March 2016 to September 2019, Vice President from March 2015 to March 2016, and Director from September 2013 to March 2015. Elizabeth also gained experience as a Senior Advisor at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP from February 2010 to September 2013, and as an Associate Policy Director at the New America Foundation from February 2007 to March 2010. Elizabeth started their career as a Legislative Assistant at the Office of Senator Lincoln Chafee in 2005.
