Meena Banasiak has over 15 years of experience in quality and corporate social responsibility. Meena started their career at General Mills in 2007, where they held various roles including Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer and Lab Manager, and Innovation, Technology, and Quality Business Process Development Leader. In 2018, they joined Phoenix Closures, Inc. as the Director of Quality and Food Safety, and later transitioned to the role of Vice President, Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility in 2021.
Meena Banasiak (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition to their degree, they have earned the FSPCA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual certification from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance in March 2017. Furthermore, Meena is a Certified Quality Engineer, having obtained this certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in December 2012.
