Pedro Camargo

Pedro Camargo is an experienced professional with a strong focus on transport modeling, software development, GIS, and algorithm development. Currently serving as the Director at Outer Loop Consulting since June 2019, Pedro also holds a contract position as a Senior Researcher at Argonne National Laboratory, contributing to the Polaris modeling platform. As the creator and developer of AequilibraE, an open-source transportation modeling software, Pedro's expertise extends to urban freight distribution and network design from a previous role as Principal Scientist at Subscribbe. Additionally, Pedro has held various positions, including Principal Consultant at Veitch Lister Consulting and Research Fellow at Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada, and has been involved in significant projects such as freight model development and transit model validation. Pedro obtained a PhD in Transportation Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, following a Master's degree in Transportation Planning and Operation and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidade de São Paulo.
