Eric Ortega

Eric Ortega has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering, cyber development, and electronic warfare. Eric is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Phylum since February 2021. In addition, they are also serving as a Lecturer at The University of Texas at San Antonio from September 2021.

Previously, Eric worked as a Senior Cyber Developer at Global InfoTek, Inc. from February 2020 to February 2021. Before that, they served as a Computer Scientist at the Air Force Civilian Service for about eight years, starting from September 2012. In this role, they were responsible for developing native Android offensive cyber capabilities, creating cross compilation docker containers, and developing Windows User mode libraries.

Prior to their role at the Air Force Civilian Service, Eric worked as an EW Engineer at SRC from November 2008 to September 2012. Their responsibilities included providing analysis and research of radar, missiles, AAA, and communications systems, maintaining the Combat Support Database, and developing datamining and report generating software.

Eric Ortega completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio, from 2005 to 2007. Eric then went on to pursue a Master's degree in the same field at The University of Texas at San Antonio, which they completed in 2019.
