Kateryna Artyushkova

Kateryna has received an M.A. Degree with Honors in chemistry from the National Technical University of Ukraine, Kyiv in 1995. She obtained her Ph.D. in chemistry from Kent State University in December of 2001.

She was a Research Associate Professor at the Chemical Engineering Department of the University of New Mexico and Associate Director for the Center for Microengineered Materials until 2018.

Kateryna joined PHI in September of 2018 as a senior staff scientist working in Analytical Laboratory with a focus on the XPS product line. She has been promoted to Director of Marketing in 2021 and to Director of Analytical Laboratory in 2022. The Board of Directors has appointed Kateryna Artushkova as President and member of the Board of Directors effective July 1, 2022.

She has co-authored 200+ peer-reviewed publications and four book chapters. She is a North American Editor of Surface and Interface Analysis Journal. Her hobbies include singing and dancing. She is passionate about “creating valuable information from vacuum” using surface analysis equipment.
