Head Of Infrasound Research Group at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt

Stefan Jacob, PhD, has a diverse work experience. Stefan is currently the Head of a junior research group focused on infrasound at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB, since September 2022. Prior to this, Stefan served as the CEO of SoluTone AB from January 2019. Stefan also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research from June 2021 to September 2022. Stefan has also been involved in entrepreneurship, co-founding and serving as the CTO of Little Snooze from June 2020 to July 2022. In academia, Stefan worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from December 2018 to May 2021, and earlier as a Researcher and PHD Student from September 2013 to July 2017. Stefan has also held guest researcher positions at KAIST and Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2017 and 2016, respectively. Prior to their academic pursuits, Stefan gained experience as an intern at Xaar in 2012.

Stefan Jacob, PhD, began their education in 2009 at Technische Universität Dresden, where they pursued a Master's degree in Applied Mechanics, completing their studies in 2013. Following this, they enrolled at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2013 and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aeroacoustics in 2018.
