Steffen Sauer

Steffen Sauer is a highly experienced professional in the field of quantum optics, currently serving as Team Leader for Optical Passive Components at QVLS | Quantum Valley Lower Saxony and also holding the position of CTO and Co-Founder at CAVITY technologies, where the focus is on the development of software and hardware for optical cavities. With a rich academic background, including ongoing doctoral studies at Leibniz Universität Hannover, Steffen has contributed to various research roles, including as a Senior Scientist at the Institute of Semiconductor Technology and Visiting Research Fellow at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt. Previous roles at Leibniz Universität Hannover involved significant projects on optical frequency standards and optical lattice clocks based on Magnesium atoms, showcasing a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of quantum metrology and optics.
