Tara Cubel Liebisch serves as the R&D Strategy Officer of the Division Optics and Scientific Manager of PTB QuantumFrontiers at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt since August 2017. In this role, Tara manages the QuantumFrontiers project and contributes to Germany's QTF-Backbone initiative. Previous experience includes serving as Scientific Manager at the Center for Integrated Quantum Science and Technology, where strategic growth plans were developed, and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Stuttgart, conducting a significant study on Rydberg-ground state collisions. Earlier roles include work at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the University of Michigan, and a research experience at Purdue University. Tara earned a PhD in Applied Physics from the University of Michigan and a BA in Physics and German Studies from Mount Holyoke College.
