Thomas Lorenz

Thomas Lorenz is a Research Fellow at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) since December 2021, focusing on gas flow metrology, data science, digitalization, and innovative calibration methods. Previously, Thomas held a Research Fellow position at Technische Universität Braunschweig's Institute for Microtechnology from February 2019 to October 2021, where responsibilities included project management, research and development of organ-on-chip systems, and automation. Prior roles also encompass experience as a Project and Design Engineer at Bitzer Wiegetechnik GmbH and as a Research Associate at Technische Universität Braunschweig, where Thomas managed projects related to microsystems and microfluidics. Earlier work at Hahn-Schickard involved medical engineering projects, notably developing miniaturized medical devices. Educational qualifications include a Diplom-Ingenieur in Mechanical Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig and studies at DTU - Technical University of Denmark.
