Cole Byvelds has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Cole started their career as an Intern at Kingston Process Metallurgy Inc. in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at McGill University. Cole also served as the LabVIEW Student Ambassador at National Instruments from September 2014 to May 2015. Continuing their professional journey, Cole joined Evonik in 2015 as an Intern for the Summer Professional Enrichment Program. Cole then progressed within the organization, taking on roles such as Junior Plant Engineer, Strategic Project Manager, and Process Development Associate (IPREP) from June 2016 to November 2017. Cole was later promoted to Plant Engineer where they were responsible for ensuring technical availability and managing engineering support for the production plant. Subsequently, they served as a Production Manager, overseeing site production operators and improving long-term reliability and productivity. In December 2020, Cole became a Senior Manager, Production, where they ensured operational compliance and efficiency while meeting business requirements. In 2022, they joined Ionomr Innovations Inc. as the Director of Manufacturing, where they provided leadership for global manufacturing, implemented planning processes, and executed ERP systems. Currently, they are the Director of Manufacturing & Operations at Phyton Biotech starting from May 2023.

Cole Byvelds attended McGill University from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. In addition to their academic qualifications, Cole has also earned several certifications. In 2019, they completed the Management Essentials program at Harvard Business School Online. In 2017, they became a Development Coach certified by Volleyball Canada. Prior to that, in 2017, they completed the Delta V - Implementation I - 7009 course at Emerson. Furthermore, they obtained the Professional Engineer certification from Professional Engineers Ontario in July 2020. Most recently, in August 2020, they received the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the University of Michigan.
