Karmel Salah

Karmel Salah is an experienced AI Engineer currently working at Pic-Time since April 2022, focusing on the research, design, and implementation of deep learning and machine learning models. As a co-founder of HandsUp-PL from March 2023 to May 2023, Karmel developed a sign language translation app aimed at improving communication for the deaf. Prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineer and AI Researcher at Morphysm, where Karmel designed user interfaces and conversation flows for AI-driven projects, and as an Artistic AI Researcher. Karmel's background spans various technical roles in web development, data analysis, and IT support, alongside significant contributions to projects that promote accessibility and communication. Karmel is pursuing a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at An Najah National University, building a strong academic foundation complemented by earlier studies in Computer and Information Sciences and Hebrew Language and Literature.
