Hongbing Chen

Hongbing Chen is a seasoned professional in the field of optics and software engineering, currently serving as a Senior System Design Engineer at Picarro, Inc. since November 2014. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Los Gatos Research for a brief period in 2014, and as a Senior Researcher/Instrumental Software Engineer at Tiger Optics from April 2005 to June 2014. Hongbing Chen began a career in research at Rice University as a Postdoctoral Associate Researcher specializing in laser spectroscopy from April 2001 to April 2005, preceded by a research position at the University of Hong Kong from April 1999 to April 2001, and earlier work at the Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics from 1988 to 2001. Hongbing Chen holds a Ph.D. in Optics from the Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Science, obtained in 1996.
