Talmadge Centers, Jr. has extensive experience in the energy industry, particularly in executive roles. Talmadge began their career at CenterPoint Energy in 2004 as the Director of Gas Operations, where they were responsible for compliance, gas control, system integrity, and technical field operations. From 2006 to 2010, they served as the Division VP of Engineering & Technical Services, overseeing regulated gas operations and managing a team of over 450 employees. Talmadge then held various positions at CenterPoint Energy, including Division VP of Engineering & System Integrity and Division VP of Minnesota Regional Gas Operations. In 2014, Talmadge became the Vice President of Safety and Gas System Integrity, leading gas LDC system operations and ensuring regulatory compliance for over 3.2 million customers. Talmadge also served as the VP of Environmental Safety Training from 2018 to 2019. In 2023, they joined Picarro, Inc. as the Vice President of Business and Market Development.
Talmadge Centers, Jr. has a diverse education history that includes both academic degrees and professional certifications. In 1985, they graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Later, in 2006, Talmadge attended the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and completed an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program. In 2007, they attended the Center for Creative Leadership to further their Leadership Development skills. Furthermore, in 2001, Talmadge participated in a Utility Executive Course at the University of Idaho.
Additionally, Talmadge Centers, Jr. obtained a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the TSPE (Texas Society of Professional Engineers) in March 1989.
