Kitching Yau has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Kitching began their career at KPMG in 1986, where they worked as a Senior Tax Manager, overseeing tax compliance, accounting, and planning for multinational corporations. Kitching then joined KPMG China as a Tax Manager before moving on to Oracle as the Greater China Regional Tax Manager, where they handled tax planning and compliance for subsidiaries in the Greater China Region.
In 2002, Kitching Yau established their own business, Kitching Yau, CPA, where they provided tax consultancy services to individual investors and small enterprises in Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China. Kitching later worked for Kroll as a Tax Consultant/Manager, managing tax accounting and compliance operations, and facilitating the company's sale to Marsh McLennan.
At Marsh McLennan, Kitching Yau held several roles, including Business Unit Tax Manager and Director - Special Tax Analysis/Process Improvements. In these roles, they managed tax compliance and financial reporting, led process improvement projects, and played a pivotal role in the acquisition and disposition of business units.
Currently, Kitching Yau is working at Pico as the Global Head of Tax, responsible for overseeing the organization's overall tax function and leading various tax-related activities.
Throughout their career, Kitching Yau has demonstrated expertise in tax compliance, accounting, and planning, as well as strong project management and leadership skills.
Kitching Yau has a Master of Science in Taxation from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, also from Baruch College. Additionally, they have obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the New York State Education Department in 1990.
