Nikolay Markov is an experienced economist currently serving as the Lead Economist on Other Advanced & CEE Economies at Pictet Asset Management since October 2013, having also held roles as Senior Economist and Economist within the same organization. In addition, Nikolay is a Lecturer for the International Macroeconomics course in the Master’s program at Université de Genève since August 2022. Previously, Nikolay worked as a Researcher in the Monetary Policy Analysis Unit at Swiss National Bank from August 2012 to September 2013 and as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Geneva from October 2007 to July 2012. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Economics focusing on Monetary Policy from the University of Geneva, supplemented by studies at the Gerzensee study center of the Swiss National Bank, and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Geneva.
