Maximilian Heinemeyer

Maximilian Heinemeyer is currently a board member at Picus Security. Prior to this, they were with Darktrace and Hewlett-Packard.

Maximilian has over 10 years of experience in the IT security industry. Maximilian has a deep understanding of threat and vulnerability management and has designed concepts for multiple companies. Maximilian has also been involved in delivering penetration tests, live hacking demonstrations, and training & mentoring junior penetration testers.

Maximilian’s experience and knowledge have helped Picus Security achieve great milestones, such as being named a ‘Cool Vendor’ in Security and Risk Management by Gartner in 2019, and raising $5 million in Series A funding. Under their leadership, Picus Security has continued to grow and innovate, solidifying its position as one of the leading security companies in the world.

Maximilian Heinemeyer has a Master of Science in International Business Information Systems from the University of Duisburg-Essen, and a Bachelor of Science in International Business Information Systems from the Corporate State University Stuttgart. Maximilian is certified by Qualys as a Qualys Certified Expert, by FireEye, Inc. as a FireEye Junior Systems Engineer, and by Offensive Security as an OSCP. Maximilian also has certification from ITIL in ITIL v3.
