Cristina Cecilia Rivera Zuniga

Cristina Cecilia Rivera Zuniga has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Cristina Cecilia is currently the Head of Finance at Yummy (YC S21), where they are responsible for forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual results, approving budgets, and managing risks.

Prior to their current role, Cristina worked at EY from 2019 to 2022, where they held the position of General Manager and later became Supervisor in Tax Accounting Compliance & Reporting. In this role, they managed contracts with Alcatel Lucent Ecuador and Nokia Solutions and Networks, assessed their viability, and explored new business opportunities. Cristina Cecilia also evaluated team performance and participated in meetings with clients in English.

Before joining EY, Cristina worked for KPMG from 2011 to 2018. Cristina Cecilia started as an Advisory, handling document reception, retention, purchase, and sales processes for Nokia Siemens Ecuador. Cristina Cecilia then progressed to Senior in Taxes and Accounting, leading activities such as financial statement review and delivery, tax reconciliation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and overseeing 8 team members.

Additionally, Cristina had a stint at Escuela Superior Politécnica del litoral (FEN) as an Academic Assistant and Administrative Assistant, where they attended to students' inquiries, planned curricula, and managed documents. Cristina Cecilia also served as a teaching assistant for the subject of Financial Mathematics.

Throughout their career, Cristina has demonstrated strong skills in finance, accounting, tax compliance, team management, and business development. Cristina Cecilia is fluent in English and has worked with major clients in different industries.

Cristina Cecilia Rivera Zuniga pursued their education in a chronological manner with a focus on accounting and business management. From 2012 to 2015, they attended Universidad Espíritu Santo (UEES) and obtained a degree in Contador Público Autorizado (CPA), specializing in Contabilidad (Accounting). Prior to that, from 2007 to 2011, they attended Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral – Facultad de Economía y Negocios, where they earned a degree in Ingeniera en Negocios Internacional, with a specialization in Contabilidad y Gestión Empresarial (Accounting and Business Management). Cristina Cecilia's earlier education was obtained from Colegio Matilde Amador Santisteban, where they studied from 2000 to 2005 and earned a degree of Contador Bachiller en Ciencias de Comercio y Administración, again focused on Contabilidad (Accounting).
