Karen Earle Smith, MSW, ACSW, LCSW has a diverse work experience in the field of social work and mental health. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Clinical Social Worker in the Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Outreach Program. Over the years, they held various leadership positions such as Lead Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Program Coordinator, and Clinical Director. Karen also worked as a Director of Social Work and Clinical Director at different healthcare facilities. In 2011, they established their own counseling practice, Karen Smith Counseling, PLLC. Currently, they serve as the Associate Director of Integrated Health at Piedmont Health Services Inc, where they previously held the role of Lead Integrated Behavioral Health Consultant. Throughout their career, Karen has demonstrated a commitment to providing quality care and leadership in the field of mental health and social work.
Karen Earle Smith, MSW, ACSW, LCSW, obtained a BA in Psychology from Boston College in 1985 following their high school diploma from Mazapan High School in La Ceiba, Honduras in 1981. Karen then pursued a MSW in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania from 1987 to 1990. In 2011, they obtained the NASW Certificate in Clinical Supervision.
