Dean Joelson

Dean Joelson is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in pathology and medical leadership. Currently serving as the Medical Director and Pathologist at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center since July 2023, Dean also holds the role of Medical Director for the Patient Blood Management Program at Piedmont Healthcare, a position held since August 2006. Dean has actively contributed to the Georgia Association of Pathology, serving as President and Past President since November 2020. Previously, Dean worked as a Pathologist at Piedmont Newnan Hospital and Peachtree Piedmont Associates. Dean's academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Emory University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Yale University.
