Kara Deborde

Kara deBorde currently serves as the VP of Risk Management at Piedmont Lithium Inc., a position held since June 2023. In this role, Kara establishes the strategic risk management vision and ensures its implementation through strong leadership and effective networking. Prior to this, a tenure at TC Transcontinental from July 2018 to June 2023 included responsibilities as Sr Director of Risk Management, focusing on safety and environmental risks. Kara's extensive experience in risk management also encompasses roles as Global Director of Risk Management at Coveris, S.A., Corporate Risk Manager at Michelin North America, and Director of Risk Management at SB Phillips Company. Early professional experience includes a position as Team Leader at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Kara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the University of South Carolina, obtained in 1989.
