Shannon Fierro

Shannon Fierro is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Director of the Piedmont Adult School program at the Piedmont Unified School District since June 2017, where responsibilities include teaching Spanish. Previous roles include Principal of alternative high school and adult school director, Vice Principal overseeing the Berkeley International High School program, and Director of Instructional Coaching at Aspire Public Schools, focused on professional development in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Shannon's experience also encompasses a Supervisory position in formative assessment at the San Francisco Unified School District and several roles in the NYC Department of Education, including Assistant Principal and teacher, overseeing special education and world languages. Early career experience includes serving as Language Department Chair at Tech Boston Academy and teaching English at AEON Corporation. Educational credentials include a Master of Education from Harvard University, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Pace University, a Master of Arts from New York University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College.
