Jim Tsen's work experience includes various roles in the insurance industry. Jim started their career at Travelers as a Claim Analyst in September 1998 and then transitioned to an Account Manager/Underwriting Technical Assistant role in June 2001. In May 2004, Jim joined ABD Insurance and Financial Services as an Account Manager. Jim then moved to FareStart as a Community Volunteer from an unknown date in 2005 until 2008.

In October 2005, Jim joined Regence BlueShield as an Underwriter I and worked their way up to Underwriter II in October 2006, Underwriter III in July 2012, and Senior Underwriter in May 2017. Most recently, they held the role of Lead Underwriter for Large Group Accounts from May 2017 to April 2021. In April 2021, Jim transitioned into their current position as the Manager of Large Group Underwriting at Regence BlueShield.

Outside of the insurance industry, Jim has volunteered with various organizations. Jim served as a Community Volunteer at Neighborhood House starting in April 2010 and at Pike Place Market Foundation from January 2013. Jim also served as a Boardmember at ROOTS Young Adult Shelter from April 2011 to August 2012.

Jim Tsen attended the University of Washington from 1994 to 1998 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, with a focus on General Arts.
