Jackie Oates

Jackie Oates is an experienced communications professional currently serving as GM Corporate Affairs at PLS and President of IABC Western Australia since March 2024. Prior to these roles, Jackie was a Communications Consultant at St John of God Health Care and held various positions at Fortescue Metals Group, including GM Leadership, Engagement and Talent. Jackie also worked as National Senior Communications & Events Manager at Bankwest, where responsibilities included strategic internal communications for the Retail sector. Past experience includes leading the communications team at Water Corporation, a contract role as Global Communications Business Partner at Barclays, and serving as Communications Manager at BP and Leighton Contractors. Jackie began the career as a news reporter with GWN TV and Promotions Manager at 96fm. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Curtin University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcasting from the WA Academy of Performing Arts.
