John Berman

John Berman is the Executive Director of Pilgrim Africa. Prior to this position, he worked as the Senior Director for Operations and Resource Management at World Vision Bangladesh, where he operated from 2018-2020. He has executive level experience managing and securing funding for international development programs in Health, Agriculture and Communications, and has held management and business development roles including two tours as Country Director (Guinea, Kenya); serving as a Chief of Party for two large, centrally funded USAID projects (AIDSMark, AIDSTAR Two); and leading business development divisions at major NGOs and consulting firms including: McKinsey & Company, CARE USA, Plan USA, and CAMRIS.

John has a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Illinois, and a M.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.
