Alul Yesak

Alul Yesak has a diverse work experience that includes roles such as Director of Office of Public Charter Schools at Pillsbury United Communities, Board Member at People for PSEO, Training and Development Specialist at Minnesota Department of Health, Compliance Specialist at Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center, Organizational Development and Equity Specialist (Consultant) at National Charter Schools Institute, and Founding Executive Director at Minnesota Association of Charter School Authorizers. Additionally, Alul has served as a State Education Program Administrator at Minnesota Department of Education, Data Specialist Contractor at Junior Achievement North, Urban Education Program Manager at Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest, and Education Support Advocate - Supervisor at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota.

Alul Yesak began their education by pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University. Alul attended this institution from 2010 to 2014.

In 2012, they had the opportunity to be a visiting student at Southwest China Normal University, where they focused on Chinese history and culture.

Alul then continued their studies at the University of Minnesota, where they obtained a Master of Arts in Education Policy and Leadership from 2016 to 2018.

Alul Yesak's academic journey culminated in their pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education Policy at the University of Minnesota, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
