Kari Pitkin

Kari Pitkin has extensive work experience in the real estate and investment banking industry. Kari is currently the Head of Client Solutions at PIMCO Prime Real Estate since 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Business Development at the same company from 2019 to 2023. Before joining PIMCO, Kari worked at Merrill Lynch as the EMEA Head of Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging Investment Banking from 2005 to 2019, where they handled fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and asset sales. Kari also held the role of Managing Director at Merrill Lynch from 2005 to 2009. Kari started their career at Citi in 1997, where they worked as an Associate through Director. Kari was involved in various mergers and acquisitions within the company, including the establishment of the Real Estate Investment Banking Franchise in Sydney. In 2000, they relocated to London.

From 1987 to 1991, Kari attended the University of Virginia and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.

Later, from 1995 to 1997, Kari pursued higher education at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in General Management.

In addition to the formal degrees, Kari has also obtained a certification in Real Estate Economics and Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in August 2020.
