Matthieu Louanges

Head of EMEA Financial Institutions Group at PIMCO

Matthieu Louanges is currently the head of the EMEA Financial Institutions Group at PIMCO. Prior to this, they spent 22 years with the company in various roles, including managing director of account management and generalist fixed income portfolio manager. Matthieu also co-headed PIMCO's Munich Portfolio Management Team until 2009 and was a member of the European Portfolio Committee. In 2010, they founded PIMCO's Insurance Channel EMEA before moving into a client-facing role.

Before joining PIMCO, Matthieu spent two years as a portfolio manager at Allianz Kapitalanlagegesellschaft. Prior to that, they were a portfolio manager at Caisse Centrale de Réescompte for three years. Matthieu began their career in finance at Deutsche Bank in 1992, where they worked in fixed income sales for three years.

Matthieu Louanges has a Master in Finance from Ecole Supérieure de Gestion and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
