MICHAEL RUKAMAKAMA

Michael Rukamakama has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. MICHAEL started their career in 2020 as a Software Engineer at XECO, where they worked until June 2022. During this time, they gained valuable experience in software development.

In 2019, Michael co-founded Lifti tours Sarl, a company focused on building cashless payment systems for public transport in Goma, D.R. Congo. As a co-founder, they played a significant role in the establishment and growth of the company.

Recently, Michael joined Pindo in June 2022 as a Software Engineer. At Pindo, they are involved in developing the next generation of instant communication across Africa using various channels such as SMS, SIP, Whatsapp, and Messenger. MICHAEL has already worked on setting up a light and optimized DLR microservice, capable of handling up to 10K requests per second. Additionally, they contributed to increasing the unit test coverage from 54% to 94%.

Overall, Michael has been actively involved in software engineering, playing crucial roles in different companies and contributing to their growth and development.

Michael Rukamakama completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from ULPGL from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma in Mathematics and Physics from Mwanga High School from 2007 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Michael obtained a certification in "English as a Second Language, Part II: Practical Professional Skills" from the Mandela Washington Fellowship in May 2023.
