Michael Shaffer

VP, Community-Based Services at PINEBROOK FAMILY ANSWERS

Michael Shaffer began his career at Pinebrook in the foster care program in 1989 after earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Moravian College. He later earned a Master of Education in Counseling in Higher Education from Kutztown University. He is currently the vice president of community-based services where he has the administrative oversight of the agency’s community-based services. Michael has dedicated his career to children and their families throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley region and has served on local and statewide committees where he advocates for the needs of children and families and promotes best practices in service delivery. Currently, Michael serves on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Council of Children, Youth and Family Services (PCCYFS). Michael and his wife have lived in the Lehigh Valley for over thirty years and are the parents of three sons.
