Senior Product Marketing Manager at Pinecone

Xian Huang has a diverse and extensive work experience. Xian began their career as a Marketing Director at Bridging Education And Mobility (BEAM), where they were part of the founding team and built the marketing function. During their time there, they led marketing strategies and campaigns that raised funds for more than 17,000 under-served students.

Following that, Xian worked as a Lecturer at New Oriental Education & Technology Group, where they developed and taught TOEFL lessons to over 1000 college and graduate students, helping a majority of them improve their test scores.

Xian then transitioned to the blockchain industry, joining Blockchain Thinktank as a Product Marketing Strategist. In this role, they led go-to-market strategies for startup Versara Group, including product positioning, website development, and organizing six roadshows in three countries.

Xian further expanded their expertise in blockchain by joining Paxos as a Product Marketing Manager. As the first hire by the Marketing VP, Xian managed go-to-market initiatives for new products and ongoing product marketing campaigns throughout multiple funding rounds.

Xian also gained experience in the startup ecosystem by working as a Startup Weekend Organizer at Techstars. In this role, they organized events for founders in various industries, including FashionTech, TravelTech, Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence.

Most recently, Xian held Senior Product Marketing Manager roles at Highnote and Pinecone. At Highnote, they established the product marketing function from scratch and collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product marketing strategies. At Pinecone, Xian currently holds the position and is responsible for senior product marketing management.

Xian Huang has a Master's Degree in Strategic Communication from Columbia University. Xian also attended Columbia Business School but the degree and field of study are not specified. Prior to that, Xian obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from China University of Geosciences (Beijing). In terms of additional certifications, Xian completed courses such as "Disruptive Strategy" from Harvard Business School Online in June 2021, "Become a Product Manager" from Udemy in July 2018, and "IBM Blockchain Essentials" from IBM in July 2018.
