L.j. Scurfield

L.J. Scurfield currently serves as the Dean of Residential Life at The Pingry School since June 2025. Prior experience includes a role as Head Teacher and Instructor at The Paideia Institute for Humanistic Study from 2015 to July 2025, where responsibilities involved teaching high school students in a Latin program in Rome. Additionally, L.J. Scurfield was a Latin Teacher at Westtown School from August 2017 to June 2025 and previously taught Latin and History there from August 2012 to June 2015, also coaching Varsity golf. Earlier experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Kentucky from August 2015 to August 2017. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Hamilton College and a Master of Arts in Classics from the University of Kentucky.
